This is a Japanese AR Multiplayer game called Hado. Players wear goggles and bracelets and are able to shoot fireballs and dodge fireballs physically in real-time.
This video was taken in 2017 at a VR conference where my cousin and I were trying out Hado for the first time. I’m wearing the yellow tiger suit and playing this game felt like a dodgeball workout with awesome fireballs! Probably the closest Dragon Ball Z experience I’ll ever get.
With more cities coming up to 5G speeds, it’ll be exciting to see AR mulitplayer games like this on mobile phones and Niantic is definitely on the way to making that experience happen soon.
