My friend Julie and I volunteered to host a “light painting” activity during the Multimedia garden Party at the SOMArts Cultural Center, San Francisco in 2012.

We just had 1 Canon DSLR, 12+ LED lights, and as many people as I could convince at the event to follow me behind the black curtain to create these pictures.
Once we had a few pictures taken, I would run back out into the venue and show other attendees how it looked on my phone and then it was much easier to bring even more volunteers to the back.
This was one the funnest nights I’ve ever had when it comes to volunteering at an event.
